The second Whitmore Bay Boxing Day Swim saw 20ish club members, family, friends and members of the public take the plunge at Barry Island, raising vital funds for the Club. Same time next year??

Perranporth Hostel - November 07
16 Club members made the trip to Perranporth, Cornwall for a weekend of surfing and relaxing. The Hostel, situated on the Cliff top and run by the YHA, offered stunning views and a great atmosphere.

3 Bays Classic 2007
The team relay starts in Jackson's Bay with a board paddle around Nell's Point to Whitmore Bay. The runner, sprints along the promenade and over Friars Point to the break water and tags the swimmer, who swims across the Old Harbour. The last leg is a ski paddle from the old harbour back to Jackson's Bay.
19 junior, senior and master teams competed this year and Whitmore Bay SLSC finished 7th. Team - Ross F, Rhys, Ross A, Mat

Gambia Water Safety Project
In August 2007 six lifeguards from Whitmore Bay Surf Life Saving Club traveled to Gambia, west Africa to train 20 firemen from the Gambian Sea Rescue Division.

Whitmore Bay SLSC Team Race 2007
Whitmore Bay SLSC hosted their first lifesaving competition on the 28th of July. 6 teams of 4 competed in the event which consisted of 8 legs ( run, swim, board, ski, swim, board, ski, run) with each competitior completing 2 legs.
Well done everyone who competed and we hope to see you all at next years event...

Rest Bay Ultimate Challenge 2007
The Ultimate Challenge course consists of 4 legs. A 4km Run, 1km Swim, 1.5km Board and a 2km Ski. Luke Fraser placed 1st in the U19 individual race and Mathew Rowlands placed 1st in the U16 Individual race, so well done to both of you. Thanks must go to Rest Bay Lifeguard Club for holding a very enjoyable lifesaving competition.
