Boxing Day Swim 2006
Boxing Day 2006 saw the first sponsored club swim at Whitmore Bay. The event was a big success with 8 club members taking the plunge and raising vital funds for the club. Chairman, Cliff Nelson, led the swim which involved running into the sea 3 times and diving under. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the swim. The swimmers would like to thank Jane for the excellent hot chilli afterwards.

Mass Lifeguard Exam 2006
During the summer club members will sit different types of lifesaving examinations from full beach lifeguard awards, to first aid or junior awards. On the 24/09/06 some of our club members completed a grueling 4 hour lifesaving exam involving board rescues, tube rescues, spinal carries and first aid. The exam was held at Whitmore Bay.
