8th May - Vacant Committee Position
A position as Fundraising/Publicity Officer has been created on Club Committee to co-ordinate fundraising efforts and to raise the profile of the Club through local press. Anyone interested should contact Diane or Cliff.
21st March - Help needed for The Gambia Water Safety Project
The RLSS UK Commonwealth Project will now be managed and funded independently of the Club (but still supported by the Club). The aim is to develop a ten year programme to increase the expertise and competency of The Gambia Beach Rescue Service. Another team of qualified lifeguards will be returning to The Gambia in 2009. Anyone available to lend their time to this great cause or anyone interested in being part of the 2009 team should contact Cliff.

29th Feb - Whitmore Bay Race for Gambia confirmed for the 18th of July
This year's race will be bigger and better than last year with all Welsh Club's invited to enter the taplin style event. Money raised from the competition will help fund the Club's Water Safety Project in The Gambia, West Africa. More details about the race will follow soon... 9th Feb - Lifeguard Hut Training Diary
Due to problems with kit getting damaged, we have introduced a training log book in the lifeguard hut. Anyone who trains in the gym, on the beach or in the sea must log their session in the diary. Also, inspect the craft you are using before and after training and report any damage to Luke.
9th Feb - Wednesday Senior Swimming Fees
Luke is now keeping a record of who swims and who pays. If you don't pay for three weeks in a row you will not be able to swim until you have paid off your debt. You have been warned!
